We are trying to post something funny every Friday. To stay with the "submission" theme that we had going this week, this comic cartoon was the best thing we could find! Work with us.

The funny thing is that some men probably act like the man in the image. Wil didn't take it quite this far (he would have gotten all too familiar with that bell if he had) but, at one point in our marriage, he was close! He never demanded that I submit in such a physical, service-oriented way but he did make extreme decisions and then expect me to automatically submit "as if to the lord."

Oh, there are so many stories running through my mind from the past when Wil tried to force his hand. I will tell you two situations.

4 Clues That Your Pastor May Just be in it for the Money

As a follow-up to Wil being on the "Sky High with Portia" radio show last week where they discussed prosperity pastors, we thought it would be good to help people determine if their pastor is just in it for the money. Here are four clues:

1. When people "make it rain" on the stage, does your pastor dance in the money?
2. Does your pastor throw out random amounts and say, "Anyone that trusts in God and wants the spirit to move in their life will get up right now and give $117"?
3. Do you perform chants about money and it coming to you NOW?
4. Are most of the messages in your church centered around money?

If you answered yes to at least two of these questions (especially to the first two questions), then there's a pretty good chance your pastor is doing the "church thing" because it's his business!

Watch this video if you need some more help deciding. If this is a typical Sunday at your church, I would venture to say that your pastor's motives are in the wrong place!

Satan keeps us
WE allow Satan to keep us so busy arguing with each other, that we forget our purpose: to love, worship, and share God with others!

The best way to win a fight is to know your enemy. We know, thanks to the guys at Life Church, what Satan's goal is and what he wants...let's beat him at his own game. How about we do something crazy and befriend a Lutheran or two. Maybe even--dare I say it--a Muslim! *gasp* We all know he's evil but let's see exactly what does Satan think about the church.
